Aimed at achieving a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility, it is practiced in the West most commonly as physical exercise practiced as part of the discipline.</p>
<p>The benefit of yoga practice is nothing new.  It has been recognized for many years as the perfect discipline to help one achieve tranquility, better <a href="http://rcti.info/"title="health" >health</a>, and longer life.  </p>
<p>Many people view the benefit of yoga as some weird discipline that involves yogi&#8217;s contorted in unnatural positions, doing strange acts of the body, and living on a mountaintop somewhere in India.  I personally remember a television documentary many years ago featuring a yogi that had his tongue split, using it to clean his sinus cavities!  Anyone interested in yoga has probably also seen images of yogi&#8217;s supporting great weight with their genitals.</p>
<p>In this modern age, much has been learned about the benefit of yoga. Yoga practitioners achieve greater mobility, longer life, and internal happiness through their practice of the art. Yoga as we know it today is aimed at uniting the mind, body,and spirit.  The mysticism of the Hindu discipline is no longer a myth, and is reachable by all willing to learn.<br />
<span id="more-36"></span><br />
Yoga practice is roughly grouped into three categories &#8211; the Yoga Postures (Asanas), Yoga Breathing (Pranayama) and <a href="http://rcti.info/category/meditation"title="meditation" >Meditation</a>. These categories embrace physiological, psychological, and biochemical effects.  In addition, clinicians have compared these results against the Western practices of jogging, aerobic exercise, and weight training, and find results comparable.</p>
<p>The most popular style of Yoga in the West today is Hatha Yoga.  It is designed to focuses on the physical well-being of a person and believers in the practice consider the body as the vehicle of the spirit. </p>
<p>Ananda Yoga, a classical style of Hatha Yoga, uses Asana and Pranayama to awaken, experience, and take control of the subtle energies within the body, and focuses on the energies of the seven Chakras. </p>
<p>Anusara (a-nu-SAR-a)yoga is defined as &#8220;stepping into the current of Divine Will&#8221;, &#8220;following your heart&#8221;, and &#8220;moving with the current of divine will.&#8221; This new style, which was developed by John Friend, is defined as &#8220;yoga positions that flow from the heart.&#8221; It is heart-oriented, spiritually inspiring, and is based on a deep knowledge of outer and inner body alignment. It is based on the principles of Hatha Yoga and biochemical practices.  Students of this discipline base their practice on attitude, action, and alignment.</p>
<p>Ashtanga yoga could possibly be the perfect Yoga for those looking for a serious workout. Ashtanga was developed by K. Pattabhi Jois, and is very physically demanding. A series of flows, moving quickly from one posture to another, is utilized to build strength, flexibility and stamina. This style is not good for the beginning practitioner, as it requires 6 series of difficulty.  The physical demands of Ashtanga are not for the casual practitioner beginning the journey of yoga fitness.</p>
<p>Bikram Yoga, named for its founder Bikram Choudhury, is practiced in a room with a temperature of up to 100 degrees. Twenty six Asanas are performed in a typical session, and focus is on warming and stretching muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Each pose is accompanied by Kapalabhati Breath, the &#8220;breath of fire.&#8221;  Practice of this style promotes cleansing of the body, the release of toxins, and ultimate flexibility. One must be in very good physical shape to practice Bikram Yoga.</p>
<p>These basic definitions will give the person seeking the benefit of yoga a clear-cut understanding of what is to be expected, and will help them make the proper decision to find the discipline that best suits their needs. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the ancient India, philosophy has been traditionally divided into two main groups. These groups are called as the orthodox group and heretic group. The orthodox group believes in the authority of Vedas in all the philosophical matters. These orthodox systems are six in all. One of the most popular systems of philosophy is <a href="http://rcti.info/category/yoga"title="yoga" >yoga</a>. </p>
<p>It shares the following common beliefs with the other orthodox systems: </p>
<p>• Belief in the permanent soul, which forms the basis of life.<br />
<span id="more-34"></span><br />
• Soul is supposed to discard one body at the time of death and enter a new one at the time of new birth. </p>
<p>• A strong belief in the karma, which states that the events happening in a person’s life are a direct results of the events in his previous life or lives (if the person has been born many times). </p>
<p>• A belief that the life of an individual is primarily of misery and sorrow. </p>
<p>• A belief in the state of complete freedom from misery and sorrow called mukti or moksha. </p>
<p>Yoga adopts the dualistic doctrine of explaining the universe of objects and living beings. It assumes that the universe was originally created by the uniting or samyoga of two eternal realities called purusha and prakriti. Purusha forms the basis of all the spiritual objects while prakriti deals with the material objects. Prakriti and everything that comes from it has three gunas viz.: sattva, rajo and tamas in various proportions and combinations. </p>
<p>Sattvaguna deals with all that is pure and holy while rajasguna deals with all the rich and royal qualities and tamasguna deals with all the baser qualities like greed, lust, anger, fear etc. The samyoga of the purusha and the prakriti is virtual. It does not exist but only the ignorant mind thinks it is real. This is due to the illusion called avidya and binds the purusha and causes him to transmigrate from one body to another in the various births. Once the avidya is dispelled completely, one can break free from the cycle of bith and death and can achieve moksha. This is easily achieved by following the eightfold path given by Patanjali in his Yogasutras.</p>

This lead him to develop love, acceptance and tolerance for all. Bhaki Yoga teaches a person to have a devotion to God and all things through devotion to life and love.<br />

Raja Yoga<br />
Raja means &#8220;royal&#8221;. Raja Yoga is the path of Yoga that focuses on meditation and contemplation. It is based on the Eight Limbs of Yoga which was discussed in the Yoga Sutra. This Yoga path teaches deep self respect through self mastery. The self here is honored. Raja Yoga believes that the universe exists for the self, giving the self an illusion of centrality which results to self respect and respect for all creatures. Raja Yoga is also referred to as the King of Yogas, majority of its practitioners live in spiritual or religious orders.</p>
<p>Jnana Yoga<br />
Jnana Yoga is the path of Yoga that deals with wisdom and knowledge or the Yoga of the mind. Jnana Yogis pays tribute on man&#8217;s intelligence. They try to surpass limitations by unifying intellect and wisdom. Jnana Yoga tries to obtain existence beyond doctrine and ideological controversies by accepting all other philosophies and religion. It also uses an open, rational and curious mind in studying the spirit.</p>
<p>Karma Yoga<br />
Karma Yoga believes that your present situation is based on your past actions. Karma Yoga is the path of service; it refers to the energy of action. This path requires you to be selfless. Performing a selfless service is the essence of Karma Yoga or consciously choosing a future that is free from negativity and selfishness knowing that your life is a consequence of your past actions. Karma Yoga practices try to change your action towards the good &#8211; good words, good thoughts, good deeds, in order to change your soul. By being selfless, you change your consciousness which leads to a change in your destiny.</p>
<p>Tantra Yoga<br />
Tantra Yoga is the path of ritual and perhaps the most misunderstood path. Some may think of Tantra Yoga as sorcery, witchcraft, magic spell or some mysterious formula. Most people perceive Tantra Yoga as sexual. All of these perceptions are far from truth. Tantra is the knowledge concerning Tattva (Truth or Brahman) and Mantra (mystic syllables). It utilizes rituals to respectfully experience the sacred in everything we do, not just sex though sex is a part of it. It aims to expand our awareness in all states &#8211; whether awake or asleep. Tantra Yoga practitioners must have purity, humility, devotion, courage, dedication to his Guru, cosmic love, faithfulness, contentment, dispassion, non-covetousness, and truthfulness.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cultivating Positive Energy</p>
<p>Most of us who study <a href="http://rcti.info/category/yoga"title="yoga" >Yoga</a> have been taught that an abundance of Prana (vital air or vital energy), can be found at the ocean, lakes, large open fields, and in the mountains.</p>
<p>Although the air is different, this same energy can be found where people assemble for a positive reason.  For example: when people assemble to meditate or pray.</p>
<p>You can feel it in your home, at a church, mosque, temple, shrine, ashram, seminar, martial arts hall, etc. This is when people bond in a mass for the common good. The energy can be used to help humanity and our little planet for the best.<br />
You can project this energy outward by acts of kindness every moment of your life. This is not to say, you allow yourself to be abused. You can be kind to everyone who comes into your life, without becoming a “doormat.”<br />
<span id="more-30"></span><br />
You have influence over a limited number of people who you see in a day. Why not make every contact a harmonious and positive experience?</p>
<p>Some examples would be:</p>
<p>Stop making foul gestures, becoming angry, and swearing when another driver on the road has irritated you.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t take advantage of respect with anyone.</p>
<p>Treat everyone as special – no matter what their economic status.</p>
<p>In regard to your next question: What is the mystery behind attracting positive energy?</p>
<p>To be honest, there isn&#8217;t one, but I will give you the formula.</p>
<p>Firstly, you have to realize that you have infinite potential, and it comes from within. You also have unlimited potential from the outside, when you engage in prayer, and <a href="http://rcti.info/category/meditation"title="meditation" >meditation</a>, on a daily basis. Prayer and meditation will positively charge you, and you will contribute to the benefit of others as a result of it.</p>
<p>In turn, all of this helping of others will result in finding people around you who are more than willing to give you a helping hand.</p>
<p>The following ideas will cultivate positive energy around you.</p>
<p>Make it a point to wake up in the morning with excitement and say hello to everyone you come into contact with. This goes for the security guard, janitor, maid, garage attendant, cashier at the store, and anyone you may overlook in the course of your day.</p>
<p>Stop criticizing your family members, co-workers, friends, and associates.</p>
<p>Be diplomatic first, before giving any advice.</p>
<p>Let your family know that you love them everyday.</p>
<p>Be sincere and treat everyone as important.</p>
<p>Take time to give to people. This doesn&#8217;t have to be expensive. You could give a sincere compliment, a card, a letter, or flowers.<br />
Become a trustworthy partner with family, friends, co-workers and associates.</p>
<p>Set goals &#8211; whether they are tangible or not. It is a <a href="http://rcti.info/"title="health" >health</a>y practice to have goals at any age.  The final results will be that your positive energy will attract positively charged personalities and successful people will seek you out. If this is a major change for you, it will not happen overnight.</p>
<p>Let me share a related Zulu saying: “Patience is an egg that hatches great birds.”</p>
<p>Why should you become an eternal optimist?</p>
<p>Every one of us has a choice. When you fall down, you must pick yourself up. You can&#8217;t blame life&#8217;s hurdles or obstacles – you have to find solutions to get over, around, under, or through them.</p>
<p>Focus on your past achievements and learn to be happy with yourself. Everyone has failed, at some point, but we must constructively learn from our past experience.</p>
<p>Your individual approach, to life&#8217;s daily obstacles, is the gateway to success or failure. Therefore, success is a matter of choice.</p>
<p>Building Positive Energy </p>
<p>In relation to what most of us see as possible &#8211; success is unlimited. When primal man first discovered fire, could he imagine the concept of a forge? When modern man discovered the forge, could he imagine sky scrappers?</p>
<p>To build positive energy for pursuit of common goals and success, you need a support group. Find and seek out like-minded people.</p>
